Mediation
Mediation is a process in which a neutral third party facilitates communications between parties to promote settlement and assist them in reaching a voluntary agreement regarding their dispute. Sometimes parties are ordered to mediate by courts, and sometimes parties choose mediation voluntarily.
Formal mediation programs have become an important settlement tool, saving time and money for participants, and are currently accepted by state and federal trial and appellate courts, private and public business organizations.
When scheduling a mediation at TGH with Joel Poole, he acts as a neutral third party, assisting and facilitating a negotiation between the parties. The mediation is a confidential and collaborative negotiation process, allowing the parties to shape creative outcomes and remedies which are not always available to a judge or jury.
Scheduling a mediation with Joel, allows flexibility and can typically be scheduled at a time convenient to the parties. Another advantage of scheduling a mediation is that it typically is less expensive than the costs of litigating a case through trial and allows the parties certainty and privacy of the resolution of their disputes.
